"The great fashion designer of regional dolls": thus Colette described Marie-Anne Le Minor in the 1930s. In the heart of the Pont L'Abbé region, she had created a workshop for clothing dolls, quickly employing twenty people. In 1937, she was even invited to the Universal Exposition in Paris with her creations! Eighty years later, her grandson Gildas has decided to revive the Le Minor dolls by way of a series of three "vintage" tea towels, designed by the stylist Gaëlle Le Fur. Each one features a photo of "Thumette la Bigoudène", who was the first doll of the collection Le Minor...
The motifs of the sea of Valérie LE ROUX move to a different medium : they leave ceramics to decorate the new cushions from LE MINOR. They are produced on felted wool (the same fabric that is used for sailor jackets) and the embroidery is done with DMC pearl cotton. Click here !
